      Description

      The skill "Herb Lore" has, as a prerequisite, a skill "whose name contains" "naturalist" and "whose specialization is" "[textbox left blank]". This results in any Naturalist skill with a specialty (which is usually the case, given the required specializations into planet type categories such as "earthlike", "ice world", and so on) not being recognized as a prerequisite. Changing the prerequisite from "whose specialization is" to "whose specialization is anything" resolves this issue.

      A case might also be made for requiring the "earthlike" specialization (familiarity with the environments of Mercury, Jupiter, or Pluto not teaching one much about plant life), but GURPS does not seem to explicitly mandate this, and it would cause problems given the tendency to leave out the specialization of Naturalist in a one planet game (and who knows, maybe in someone's game gas giants are full of floating vegetation of great pharmaceutical potency).
